At the age of seventy, if someone starts writing, it is neither for making a career as a writer and surely nor for making money; Mr. SP Singh, after enjoying a successful professional stint spanning more than 50 years in government and private sector, has taken up writing to highlight tourist potential of India to the world community based on his personal travelling experiences. A blend of modernity and human ambitions, agonies and ecstasies, detailing of historical sites and mix of cultural values find apt place in his writing.

His first work “Indian Tiger Caged in the Cupboard" appeared some time back which surprised many book lovers both within the country and abroad as he touched upon the life style of a principality in Mankapur, a sleepy township of eastern Uttar Pradesh, India.
